Whitmell & Associates assists libraries by developing customized learning seminars, continuing education programmes and on and off-site retreats. Programming can include external speakers or presenters, team-building exercises and decision-making workshops. Often programmes will consist of one or more activities, leading to a greater sense of teamwork and knowledge about one another, the library and the external community.

The focus is on involving the individual in learning and in participating in all of the activities. This results in committment to the library and any decisions or strategies taken.

• creating customized learning programs with speakers from inside and outside of the library community who can best present practical and enlightening information, analysis and commentary
• creating full service retreats for boards, departments, groups and organizations (on-site and off-site)
• organization and facilitation of focus groups.
